The club provides members with towels, showers, steam rooms, and amenities. You have the option of bringing your lock each time you visit the club, renting one daily with our coin-operated lockers.
Forget your headphones, need a lock or need to recharge your phone? No problem. The club solutions and other items to make your workouts more enjoyable. Hats, T-shirts, and other apparel are also available for purchase.

Body Elite Gym opened on Saturday, March 17, 1984, on St. Paddy’s Day. Our historic 150+-year-old building was once home to a catering hall, a sewing machine factory, a billiard parlor, a grocery store, and a variety shop. We started as a small bodybuilding gym and aerobic facility under the founding name “For Your Body Only.” As the Carroll Gardens neighborhood changed, we continued to make improvements and grow along with the well-known fitness industry in Brooklyn, NY. We celebrated our 35th anniversary in March 2019 and hope that you will be a part of our family for years to come!
Hi, I’m Nick. I use highly varied resistance training layouts to keep your body guessing, while consistently and efficiently improving both strength and body composition. My method has resulted in hundreds of clients feeling stronger, more toned and defined, and in better shape overall. As a result, my clients report living more energetic and more confident lifestyles both inside the gym and out.
My objective is to keep you engaged in workouts by never knowing what to expect in our next session, while still maintaining constant progress in the long term.

My main focus is to learn who you are, learn your body and fitness interests, then create a program to help you reach your goals.
I create diverse exercise programs to fit my clients needs using a variety of methods and techniques to achieve these goals.
For some people it's a high-intensity program, some clients need strength training, others need lengthening and core strength. Every individual is unique.
I use equipment such as weights, TRX, cardio machines, medicine balls and your own body weight.
I'm always expanding my knowledge, learning new techniques and ways to keep you on your toes while making your workouts safe, fun and effective.
Certified Personal Trainer and Running Coach
I began my fitness career 35 years ago in my home state of Vermont and I have been doing personal training and running coaching in Manhattan and Brooklyn for 30 years. I have a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health and Fitness from the University of Vermont and I am currently certified by NASM, ACSM and Schwinn Cycling. I have participated in many marathons, half marathons (PR 1:37) and triathlons. I have worked with hundreds of people at all levels of fitness and with many different body types during my career. I believe working out should be fun and I pride myself in challenging my clients to push themselves, but to also have fun while doing it. I have worked at many fitness centers in New York City, including Printing House Fitness Center, Crunch, Manhattan Plaza Health Club, Paris Health Club and Body Elite Fitness Club.
I specialize in core training, muscle toning, flexibility, weight loss, nutrition, cardiovascular training, strength training and running.
One size does not fit all – there is no one right way to get fit or to be fit. That’s why I’m committed to supporting my clients achieve their goals, whether they are recovering from injuries, want to gain strength, increase their flexibility, lose weight, maintain their active lifestyle or to improve their overall health. I believe that exercise should be part your daily life, and shouldn’t be a chore or torture, so I design your individual workouts to be challenging but attainable.
